Jewelweed and Stinging Nettle are two plants native to North America and are said to have a long history as a home remedy for various plant irritants. Jewelweed is often found growing in the same areas where poison ivy grows, which is ironic because it's an anti itch remedy! Provitamin B5, also known as panthenol is added which acts as a moisturizer and humectant. This bar can be used on the hair as a shampoo bar which can provide added benefits as stinging nettle nourishes and strengthens the hair follicles, along with the panthenols' improving elasticity and flexibility. This is a great bar to use after a great camping trip, working outside in the garden or after taking a hike in the woods with the dog as it can give relief of poison ivy or similar itchy skin sensitivities. It's even great to bathe your dog with it, too!
